Welcome New FWC Active Transportation Committee Member Lily!
FWC is excited to welcome Lily onto our Active Transportation committee!
Lily grew up in the greater Portland area and moved to the Oakdale area during her senior year at Bowdoin College. At Bowdoin, she minored in Urban Studies and gained an appreciation and passion for public transportation when she and her partner gave up their car to commute around town via bus. Lily attended and learned a great deal from the Citizens Guide to Zoning course hosted by Friends of Woodfords Corner last January, and decided to get involved with the organization after she began working in the neighborhood as a barista at Coveside Coffee. As a transit enthusiast and an advocate of building cities around humans rather than cars. Lily will join the Active Transportation Committee and is very excited to volunteer with FWC!
