On Hiatus for 2025 Season
It is with great hope for an amazing re-ignition in 2026 that Friends of Woodfords Corner announces a pause of the Woodfords Corner Farmers Market for this coming 2025 season.
As you may know, the 2023 and 2024 Woodfords Corner Farmers Market site at the Woodfords Congregational Church is being developed for senior housing, and construction is slated to begin this spring. As a result, this space is no longer available to FWC for our market location. FWC is taking this coming (2025) market season to assess its breadth, operations, staffing, and location.
That said, we are committed to building economic vitality in the neighborhood and continuing to provide our community with opportunities to gather and support local businesses, farmers, and vendors. While the Market is on hiatus this coming spring and summer, we plan to:
Work closely with farmers to coordinate CSA programs delivering to the Corner (stay tuned for opportunities to sign up)!
Offer a series of happenings from May-October to bring our community together and enjoy the Corner.
Continue to plan for reopening the market, in a new location, in 2026!

Corner Cash
We want everyone to be able to access fresh, local food! Throughout the market season, Corner Cash will be offered to the first 50 shoppers from one of four different groups to spend at the market. This summer, we’re celebrating kids, college students, seniors, and veterans EVERY WEEK!
To claim you Corner Cash, just stop by the market booth! These vouchers will be redeemable at any WCFM vendor throughout the market season. We are grateful to a generous neighbor for making this possible!
Shop Around the World with Natural Helpers
FWC is teaming up with the Natural Helpers program, housed in the city’s Office of Economic Opportunity, to tie in local businesses and encourage shoppers to patronize the neighborhood’s many international grocery markets.
Over the market season, the Natural Helpers will be showcasing three of our local grocers and sharing stories, recipes, and tasty snacks. Be sure to stop by our Spotlight Tent to learn about these grocers, and other local organizations, throughout the summer!
Why A Farmers Market in Woodfords Corner?
We see a need for and interest in cultivating the neighborhood's food system, and one of our endeavors is to develop and manage a small independent farmers market.
Surveys of our neighbors indicate that residents want a hyper-local farmers market and we believe there is enough density, traffic, and interest to support a local market. Over 9,000 people live within walking distance and over 20,000 cars pass through Woodfords Corner each day.
