2023 November Election Information

In-person absentee voting began Tuesday, October 3, 2023 in the State of Maine Room, adjacent to the City Clerk’s Office, on the 2nd floor at City Hall. Regular hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

For those who have requested their absentee ballot sent to them, those went out in the mail on October 3rd. The external ballot drop box will be set up at City Hall and Canco Road, and ready to receive completed absentee ballots 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The last day to in-person absentee vote is Thursday, November 2, unless you have a special circumstance. The Clark’s Office will be open until 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 2 only for voter registration and in-person absentee voting.

Absentee ballots must returned by 8 PM on Election Day. Absentee ballots must be returned via mail or the external ballot box outside of City Hall and Canco Road, and not to your normal polling place.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 7, all polling places will be open on that day from 7 AM - 8 PM

    • Mayor

    • City Council-At-Large, District 4, District 5

    • School Board-At-Large, District 4, District 5

    • Peaks Island Council (4 seats)

    • Portland Water District

  • Municipal Citizen Initiative Question

  • City Council Initiated Questions

  • State of Maine Referendum Questions
