Celebrating 10 Years of Service to the Woodfords Corner Neighborhood!
It’s hard to believe that 2025 marks 10 years since a group of neighbors came together to create a new, community-centric vision for Woodfords Corner, and Friends of Woodfords Corner (FWC) was born. Over the past decade as a small volunteer-led organization, FWC has achieved more success than any one of those neighbors dreamed possible. Each year we’ve diversified and expanded our initiatives and increased our impact across the community. For 10 years we’ve served as a voice for the Woodfords area and a catalyst for building a sustainable, diverse community. This year-end, in honor of our 10-year milestone, we’re asking you to make a gift to Friends of Woodfords Corner to help us continue to grow and achieve more success over the coming 10 years and beyond!
Your year-end donation will enable FWC to continue to build its operations and expand the initiatives we all appreciate and have come to count on. With your support, we’ll continue to serve Woodfords Corner by:
Creating opportunities for neighbors to gather and get involved;
Making Forest Avenue safer and more inviting for pedestrians and bicyclists;
Supporting our legacy businesses and welcoming new ones to fill storefronts;
Advocating for Woodfords Corner with elected officials and State and City staff;
Collaborating with other organizations, agencies, and educational institutions to make the most of our collective expertise, resources, and humanpower;
And enhancing our streetscape and public spaces to reflect our fun, friendly, and diverse Woodfords community!
Like you, we have chosen to establish our roots in the Woodfords Corner area. This special part of Portland has so much potential to be a thriving village hub for all of us living and working here — accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds, and flourishing with diverse markets, restaurants, businesses, nonprofits, public spaces, an awesome seasonal Farmers Market, beautiful planters, great signage, safe and welcoming sidewalks, and more! It can be the go-to place where we all enjoy gathering with friends, and the pride of all the surrounding neighborhoods.
