From the Deering Center Neighborhood Association

Hello all, we have a bunch of updates to share...
- This Thursday the 28th at 7pm will be DCNA's January Neighborhood Meeting, featuring City Arborist Jeff Tarling in our Community Conversation. Click here for the full agenda.

- We have 2 new business neighbors! Kris Masse is the new owner of Simply Scandinavian Foods. Welcome Kris! And long-time Deering Center neighbors, the Cope family, are moving into the former Sewing Shop space next to Rwanda Bean. DCNA board member Bobbi Cope, her husband Steven and their son, Adam, will have their small real estate and development company, Concord Properties, there, as well as Steven's Cope Law Firm office. Great to see the positive activity in our DC village!

- The Burbank Branch Library is currently offering PPL To Go, with a takeout window and contact free service. Hours of operation are: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 2:00 pm- 6:00 pm, and Friday & Saturday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Please return ALL materials in the book drop slot, located to the left of the walkway as you approach the rear (main) entrance.

- Lastly, we've heard through the grape vine that Down East Magazine is on the ground in DC and will be featuring the hood in a spring edition of their magazine!

Take care everyone,
DCNA
