Curb and new sidewalk work is progressing and the pedestrian areas on the south side of Woodfords Corner are taking shape. Curbing and sidewalk work will continue for the next few weeks until this section is complete.

New poles and mast arms for traffic signals are being installed, and traffic signals and signs are being upgraded.

The base layer of paving on lower Revere Street was completed. Additional work has been added on lower Revere Street to include resetting existing curb, and replacing the sidewalk on the south side.

Over the next few weeks, new railroad crossing signals and gates will be installed, drainage work will be completed north of Woodford Street, and the box cut work will resume between Woodford Street and the railroad tracks. A couple of small retaining walls will be built and the new sidewalk will be constructed around the new railroad signal gate.

Upcoming work includes upgrading the crosswalk landing at the corner of Arlington Street and Forest Avenue in front of Mister Bagel. The section between Ocean Avenue and Concord Street will be widened to accommodate a true left turn lane for southbound traffic, and an additional northbound lane will help clear the congestion in the intersections.
