The boxcut of the roadway will be taking a brief hiatus as the project waits for utilities to finish addressing overhead transfers. Paving base on Arlington Street, Deering Avenue, and upper and lower Woodford Street is anticipated to be complete by 7/28 (weather permitting). Sidewalk construction is underway on Forest Avenue, south of Woodford Street, and Deering Avenue.

Shaw Brothers will continue to place chain link fence sections to define a safe walking area while the sidewalks are being reconstructed. Maineway Landscaping will continue installing new curb, Shaw Brothers will do the excavation and add new gravel, AD Electric will be installing conduit for future lighting, Michael Nappi Concrete will place the new concrete surface and Maineway Landscaping will be installing granite pavers. This work will take place day and night, depending on how much impact is occurring for the traveling public.

A coordination meeting was held with the railroad to discuss crossing work. The crossing work has been rescheduled for the first or second weekend after Labor Day when weekend traffic volumes are anticipated to drop. Stay tuned for detour information and keep your eyes on the project message boards for reminders of this upcoming work.
