The Portland Planning Department, in conjunction with the Portland Area Comprehensive Transportation System (PACTS) and the WSP USA consultant team, will be holding the third and final general public meeting on the Portland – South Portland Smart Corridor Plan. This meeting will focus on preliminary recommendations for improvements to the Forest Avenue corridor that are designed to balance vehicular traffic, public transit service, and pedestrian and bicycle access in the corridor, and to create a better context for quality development within the study area. You can visit the study website at www.mainesmartcorridor.com for more information, and to follow the progress of the study. If you have any questions, or if you need accessible accommodations to attend, please contact Bruce Hyman, City of Portland Transportation Program Manager, at bhyman@portlandmaine.gov.
