Welcome our new Board of Directors members: Kelcy and Otis!!
Kelcy is a native Wisconsinite who moved to Portland in 2017 and settled in Woodford's Corner soon after. Kelcy's favorite thing about living in the neighborhood is seeing all the friendly faces and meeting new friends anytime she visits a local business or takes a walk around the Back Cove trail. She also loves the architecture of many of the homes and crushing an order of Huevos Rancheros at Bayou Kitchen.
Kelcy also enjoys swimming in the ocean and the occasional ice hole as much as she can and being way too emotionally invested in the Green Bay Packers.
Kelcy is excited to join the board of Friends of Woodford's Corner because she wants to help build a neighborhood community that is welcoming, accessible, vibrant, fun and enriching for both residents and visitors.
Welcome, Kelcy!
Born and raised in the Portland area, Otis has witnessed the on-going transformation of the Woodfords Corner neighborhood throughout his life. These days, Otis resides just blocks away from the corner and is a high school Spanish teacher and local artisan. Otis is excited to bring his enthusiasm for civic engagement and creating a better future for his hometown to the FWC board of directors.
Otis is the mastermind behind Otisito Desings, who you may remember seeing at our Odd Fellows Bazaar in December 2022. Otis creates Maine-inspired patterns and designs and hand sews goods like coats, totes, and fanny packs made with sustainably sourced fabrics.
Welcome, Otis!
