Welcome Our New Board Member, Martha!

We are excited to announce that Martha Elkus has joined the Friends of Woodfords Corner Board of Directors!

Martha has lived in Woodfords Corner for over 20 years, and was a business owner here for even longer! In 1994, she opened Big Sky Bakery, which she recently sold to a fellow Corner resident. Prior to starting Big Sky, Martha worked in urban planning and healthcare policy and legislation.

As a long-time resident and area business owner, Martha has seen Friends of Woodfords Corner grow over the years, and participated in many of our initiatives. She sees the organization as an integral part of the community - filling the need for a group with a vision and a plan to create a thriving village hub.

Martha is also excited about joining FWC as she wants to give back to the community that supported her business over the years.
