Jigsaw Puzzle Competition

Join us for a fun-filled speed puzzling contest! Teams of two (2) will compete to finish the same 300 or 500-piece puzzle within a 3-hour time limit. New to speed puzzling? Want a parent/child team? We suggest the 300 piece puzzle. It's a delightful way to spend a winter afternoon!

After the competition, teams will get to keep the puzzle. Prizes will be awarded to the top finisher of the 300 piece puzzle and top finisher of the 500 piece puzzle. Puzzlers of all ages abilities are welcome!

Puzzle Swap

A free Puzzle Swap will be included for all registered puzzlers. Please do not bring any puzzles with missing pieces. The puzzle swap is optional - participants are not required to bring a puzzle to swap.

 
 

Puzzle Competition Rules & FAQ’s

 

  • Each team will receive the same wrapped puzzle. When the clock starts at 2pm, everyone will unwrap the puzzle, open the puzzle box, and begin puzzling. Rankings will be determined by finish time. You will have up to 3 hours to complete the puzzle. Prizes will be awarded to the three fastest teams.

  • A team consists of a maximum of 2 people.

  • We use 8-foot rectangular tables, and will divide each table in half (2 teams per table), for a total of 8 square feet. Each team will get their table assignment when they arrive. This space might be smaller than what you are used to at home so you may want to become familiar with the size of the space prior to the event.

  • The registration fee covers:

    • Both members of your team’s entry into the competition.

    • The cost of a high quality, puzzle that each team gets to keep.

  • The clock will start promptly at 2pm, so please prepare to arrive around 1:30pm to check-in, find your table, and browse the puzzle swap. Please allow extra time for parking.

  • No – the event is open to all ages and abilities! 

  • A volunteer will write your time down when you are finished. Once you finish your puzzle, you can box up your puzzle and take it home with you. You can then either leave the event or you are welcome to stick around to browse the puzzle swap tables, chat with other participants, and cheer on and/or help the other teams still working!

PUZZLE SWAP: Not interested in competing? Join us at the Swap! Even if you are not registered for the competition, you may come enjoy the festivities and swap your puzzle(s). Come anytime between 2 and 4pm, and feel free to stay and watch the puzzlers work on their puzzles.

PARKING: There is ample street parking near Odd Fellows Hall. Check out the map of free street parking in the area HERE!

FOOD & DRINK: You may bring in your own food or drinks.
