FWC Wraps up Corner Councilor Walks with Pious Ali

Friends of Woodfords Corner’s Active Transportation Committee wrapped up our Counselor Corner walks on February 4 with Councilor Pious Ali. Also in attendance were board members Nancy Grant, Teresa Valliere, and Eric Larson; volunteers Jeff Levine and Brooks More; and graduate assistant Olin Jenner. To demonstrate the danger of certain crosswalks and intersections, the group took their lives into their hands and crossed Forest Ave multiple times. While scrambling over snowbanks, the group had a lively conversation with the counselor, discussing the various ways that the city could work with FWC to make the corner a vibrant, walkable hub.
