Portland Announces Third Give-A-Way of Free PPE to Portland Businesses

Today, February 11, City Hall announced that a third round of free personal protective equipment (PPE) would be available to small businesses that interact with the public. Eligible businesses must be small (fewer than 30 employees) and must come into close physical distance with the public on a daily basis. Supplies to be distributed include up to four boxes of masks, one hands-free dispenser for hand sanitizer, one gallon of hand sanitizer gel, and three quarts of surface disinfectant. Scientific evidence has repeatedly shown that the most effective way to limit the spread of Covid is to wear a mask any time individuals interact with people from outside their household. By distributing PPE, the city is hoping to work with businesses to limit the spread of Covid while removing the financial strain of protecting employees and customers.

Interested businesses should fill out this Google form https://forms.gle/LfGBFbcP8MvXiNbt7 where the business can select the date and time to pick up PPE at Ocean Gateway on either Monday, Feb. 22, 1:00-4:00 or Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1:00 to 4:00.
