Out of Sorts ends with an Emotional Value Auction on Saturday, October 14th from 12-5 pm. Anyone interested in releasing an object they desire to pass on to someone who will value it and know its history can participate by dropping the item off at SPEEDWELL projects Saturday, October 7 from 12-6 after emailing a statement about the object and why it is time to let it go to adrianeherman@gmail.com. “Bids” will take the form of written statements of interest in an item. At the end of the “auction,” each item’s owner has the option of bestowing the item onto someone whose written bid they find moving. You needn't let an item go or bid on anything to witness these meaningful exchanges between strangers.
