MAY 15: Portland Ballet's Momentum
7:30 – 9 pm ∙ Westbrook Performing Arts Center
MOMENTUM will mark Portland Ballet’s first mainstage production back in front of a live audience since the start of the pandemic last March. LEARN MORE

MAY 16: Forest Immersion 
1:00 - 4:00PM 3:00 - 5:30 PM 
Slow down, enjoy the urban forest, and boost your immune system during a "Forest Bath" led by Certified Forest Therapy Guide Susan Bickford. Event is free with a suggested donation of $12. LEARN MORE

MAY 22: Trinity Park Refresh VOLUNTEER! 
9:00-12 noon - 580 Forest Ave
Each year FWC gets together with volunteers from Trinity Episcopal Church to clean up, weed and mulch Trinity Park. Come lend a hand and meet some neighbors! LEARN MORE

MAY 27: 7th Annual Rail Road Clean Up VOLUNTEER! 
3:00 - 5:30 PM 
We partner with Pan Am Railroad and local volunteers to pick up the loose trash along the tracks from Brighton to Forest.  LEARN MORE & JOIN US!

Woodfords Community Garden Tour

Join neighbors and garden lovers in a tour of gardens around Woodfords Corner - in Back Cove, Deering Highlands, and Deering Center. Proceeds will benefit Friends of Woodfords Corner and the Center for Grieving Children, one of our local non-profits. More information and tickets available soon!

Coming Soon: Coveside Coffee
28 Vannah Avenue

A new neighborhood coffee shop is coming to 28 Vannah Avenue! Coveside Coffee is a place to gather and connect with friends and neighbors on this side of the Cove. Keep an eye out on instagram (@coveside_coffee) for announcements, including some late May preview days! And mark your calendars for Sunday, June 20, when they'll host local food trucks and vendors, including Crepe Elizabeth, La Fritanga (Maiz's new venture!), Maine Maple Creemee, the Paleta Guy, and Cocktail Mary!  

Sammy's Scoops is back! 
51 Ocean Avenue
Sammy's Scoops is open for the 2021 season. Swing by for a refreshing treat Monday-Thursday 2-8pm and Friday-Sunday 1-8pm. Expanded hours to come as the summer season sets in. Try their new flavors and get a frequent scoop card. Check out their Facebook page for the latest updates and specials.

Friends of Woodfords Corner is collecting information from Corner business owners in order to ensure that our local businesses thrive into the future. If you own a business based in Woodfords Corner, please take 15 minutes to complete our survey so we can learn about your needs, perspectives, and issues facing you! All those who complete the survey will be entered into a raffle for one of two $50 gift certificates to the local Woodfords Corner business of their choice!  TAKE SURVEY NOW

Hopeful Flags 

Thank you to Caitlin Cameron, Trinity Episcopal Church and neighbors who stopped by to capture some hopeful thoughts and wishes and add them to the flags in the park. This temporary art installation will remain in the park for part of May. Stop by and read the hopeful messages… let the hope spread.
