Introducing: Woodfords Weekend, the Corner's very own shop small Saturday. The Corner will be alive with events like the Odd Fellows Bazaar, the @trinitychurchportland Christmas Fair, and Vintage Sip & Shop at @monstera.vintage.decor! FWC will be facilitating a game of Bingo — simply visit the listed events & retailers to receive a sticker, and cards can be dropped off at our office to be entered to win prizes from Corner businesses!
We have plenty of street parking the the neighborhood! And don't forget all of our wonderful local restaurants!

Help Us Make an Impact!
As a small but mighty volunteer-led nonprofit, we’ve made a lot of progress since our 2015 inception. In 2023, we want to add a part-time paid staff person to our team who can manage the growing amount of work required to support our burgeoning nonprofit. Our vision for Woodfords Corner remains grand. As this organization has evolved and become a Main Street America affiliate, we have more work than our small army of volunteers can accomplish. Employing a paid staff person will help us to more fully realize our goals and vision, and make a much bigger impact on the community as a whole.

We are bringing the Odd Fellows Hall to life on Saturday, December 3rd with holiday magic! Join FWC & IOOF6 for a holiday craft fair. We have 30 makers participating!

The Odd Fellows are opening up their historic space to anyone who wishes to take the tour! Come view the relics and the beautiful building the Fraternity has preserved. Santa gave us a call and said he and one of his elves would be taking the tour too!

Holiday Corner with Santa
179 Woodford Street — 10 am - 1 pm
For children of all ages! Get in the holiday spirit with Photos with Santa, Gingerbread Houses & Hot Chocolate! Pictures with Santa, whether with individuals or groups, will help you keep memories alive. Decorating your own Gingerbread House will showcase your artistic skills and can become a centerpiece for your table for the holidays. Finally, at the Hot Chocolate Bar, you can add a number of delicious toppings such as peppermint sticks and whipped cream to your hot chocolate. $10 for each photo & $10 for each gingerbread house. Hot chocolate bar is free with either a photo or gingerbread house, $5 without.

Coming this Winter: A Citizen's Guide to Zoning
FWC is excited to share that we will be offering FREE a Zoning course, designed by board member Eric Larsson.
Over three 90-minute classes in January and February, this course will include a general overview of the history, theory, and law of land use regulation, with examples to illustrate various approaches. There will also be interactive class exercises focusing on how zoning operates in Portland. Learn fun facts like the difference between a variance and a conditional use, what’s permitted in R3 and B1b, and the minimum parking requirements for a daycare and a funeral home. Learn how zoning is a critical element in issues ranging from Maine’s housing shortage, to America’s obesity epidemic, and global climate change. And, most importantly, learn how to be a more effective participant in local land use decisions.
