On July 16, our Friends of Woodfords Corner Green Team installed 20 planters at the entrance of Deering Ave off of Forest. As part of our "Together We Can" efforts this summer, and while we can't host in-person events of our own, the planters are FWC's way of beautifying our social hotspots in the Corner and giving back to our neighbors.
Thank you to our generous sponsors: Allagash Brewing; Risbara’s Greenhouse; Allen, Sterling & Lothrop; Dunkin Donuts; Lewis Landscaping; O’Donal’s Nursery; and the City of Portland for donating materials to help us make the Corner even brighter with these flowers and plants. We could not have done it without our great team of volunteers who helped us create and install the planters: Heather, Jason, Lisa, Nancy, Teresa, Liz, Denis, Steve, Evangeline, Eric, Nate, and Vonnett.
If you are interested in helping with future Green Team projects in the Corner, please email us at volunteer@woodfordscorner.org, and we'll keep you posted on future opportunities!
Appreciate the beautification efforts of the FWC? Donate to support our work, and receive a "Hopeful/Together We Can" sign for your home.
