New Street Squad volunteer opportunities

Volunteers gathered in May to prepare the flower planters and rainwater barrels for the upcoming installation along Deering Ave. This event was part of a new Street Squad initiative organized by the Green, Clean & Sustainable team.

Moving forward, the Street Squad will meet monthly on third Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30pm to tackle small projects and beautify the neighborhood. The next meet-up on June 16th will be to tidy the tree wells along Forest Ave.

Sign-up here to volunteer at the next Street Squad event!

Watering volunteers needed

And now we need your help to keep those beautiful plants along Deering Ave hydrated, thriving and beautiful all summer long! Watering takes about 30 minutes and is usually best in the morning.

Check out the June volunteer calendar and sign up here for a watering shift.

Family Sunday Socials

Do you know about Sunday Socials? Every other Sunday morning, families meet in a public space to share conversation, enjoy coffee, and create a tech-free environment for children to play.

Last month, Sunday Socials and Mama Mia Making held a marble run extravaganza at the Odd Fellows Building and a good time was had by young and old (and middle aged) alike!
