First WC Ripe for Repair a great success!
Folks gathered together at the Odd Fellows Hall to fix a wide range of broken items including alarm clocks, a waffle maker, vacuums, lamps, sewing machines, bicycles, necklaces, socks, mittens, broken zippers, jackets, jeans and a variety of other items.
Stories, skills and snacks were shared. Neighbors helped neighbors and the Bicycle Coalition of Maine , Portland Gear Hub , Caravan Beads, and the Hour Exchange lent their expertise as well.
The local news documented some of the excitement, with features in the PPH and WGME.
Bring something to fix and join us for the next Ripe for Repair meetups in February and March!
