Woodfords Corner Lodge of Independent Order of Oddfellows Debuts New Website
If you’ve walked the Woodford St and Forest Ave intersection, you’ve seen the impressive building with the clock tower, and probably found yourself intrigued by the sign above the main entrance that reads, “Odd Fellows Block.”
What is an Odd Fellow? What’s going on in that building? Aside from being the location of FWC’s office, the Odd Fellow building houses Fraternity Lodge no. 6 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. An international organization, the IOOF aims to promote social and personal development through friendship, love, and truth.
The lodge itself is a place for fellowship - members gather to have fun, hold discussions, network, and collaborate on creative and constructive projects. This particular lodge was founded in 1886, right down the street at 156 Woodford St.
