2021 Woodfords Community Garden Tour a Grand Success!
On June 26, over 150 garden enthusiasts came out to enjoy gardens throughout the Woodfords Corner community, and support the Friends of Woodfords Corner and the Center for Grieving Children. The event showcased 12 gardens of varying sizes, with hundreds of plant species on display. Artists and musicians shared their wares and music, and attendees visited with friends and neighbors from near and far.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to the area residents who shared their gardens: Davis & Jane Hartwell, Kathy Reyering, Tara Conner, Amber Griffin, Sam Allen & Anne Fowler, Nancy Montgomery & Jack Vreeland, Lisa Weldon, Naomi & Ted Mayer, Mary Ann Gordon, Jason Aucoin, Teresa Valliere, and the Center for Grieving Children.
Because these households and the Center opened their outdoor oases to Garden Tour attendees, FWC was able to raise significant funds for its annual operations and make a generous contribution to the Center for Grieving Children so that they can continue their important work for kids throughout Maine. Thank you to our Garden Tour attendees who donated and made this such a successful benefit!
FWC aims to make this event an annual affair with new gardens to check out each year. Stay tuned for how you can participate in 2022!
