Deering Center NA website and update of work at Baxter Pines

Update from DCNA regarding Baxter Woods…. if you’re in Deering Center, check out their website and sign up for their newsletter.

“The City will be doing some tree work in Baxter Pines (not Baxter Woods) this week. They are putting up marking tape and signage today, and then removing marked trees, any leaning trees and most of the smaller, dead trees. They will leave a few snags for wildlife. A request was made to leave some of logs that kids are using to build twig forts.

The City is generally interested in neighborhood input regarding our green spaces. DCNA's Green Space Committee communicates regularly with the City and helps coordinate planning and improvements for the neighborhood. If you have any questions, or interest in the Committee, just let us know.”
