Shop Small® is a nationwide movement to celebrate small businesses and to promote thriving and vibrant communities. Small Business Saturday® is dedicated to supporting small business by encouraging consumers to buy within their own communities on one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
How can I participate?
Leading up to Nov. 24, promote Shop Small:
Hang Shop Small signs* in store windows
Give customers Shop Small bags*
Create window displays with business merchandise, holiday lights, signs, etc.
Promote the event on your website and social media using these hashtags:
On Nov 24, the day of the Small Business Saturday event:
Offer a discount/coupon/incentive for customers who re-post about your event on social media
Host a class or presentation that celebrates your business and its origins
Host a cookie decorating contest, ornament making craft or other fun, interactive project
Hold a raffle for anyone who leaves their business card
Offer a small discount for signing up for your blog, newsletter, or providing contact information
