How we got started.....

In the summer of 2015 my neighbor Jane grew what I call "nana mad."  She worried about her grandchildren who also live on this street.  There was an increase in unsavory and dangerous behavior from a specific house on our block.  There are lots of kids here and in general all the neighbors were greatly frustrated.   Jane gathered neighbors, contacted city officials, and arranged a public meeting.  With the collaboration of the city police department, prosecutor, landlord and neighbors over two months, the problems were resolved.  In the meantime, I'd been getting "mattress mad" about the trash that built up on the railroad track property between my house and Big Sky Bakery.   We took Jane's mailing list and got busy.
