JoAnn speaks at the Portland Camera Club on Monday, October 29 at 7:00pm. This talk is free and open to the public.
"Have you been wondering how the heck people are taking such beautiful night sky images when all you see are stars when you look up? Have you been fascinated by the Hubble Space Telescope and NASA’s stunning views of the universe?
Well, thanks to digital technology, deep sky imaging is within reach of the backyard photographer. Unlike the old days of film photography, you get near instant results of those fantastic galaxies and nebulas.
I’ll walk you through the basics of equipment, techniques, how to find objects and resources to get started. If you have a DSLR or even a high end bridge camera, you are already on your way!
I will also have my personal equipment set up for a hands on show and tell demonstration!"
