Thank you Ripe for Repair! We'll follow you around town

March 30 we hosted our third Ripe For Repair event and found once again how much local community connections make a difference. In case you missed it, Ripe for Repair events are local, free, community gatherings where people volunteer their time and skills to help others repair everything from small appliances to clothing, electronics, jewelry and bikes. A special thank you to Ali Mann, the organizer and host of events, Betsy Tesh and volunteers repair folks. Thanks also to Bicycle Coalition of Maine, Gear Hub, Caravan Beads, and Roy’s Shoe Repair who donated services on site. And a special thanks to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Portland Lodge for donation of the banquet hall and the Nichols Fund for funding to help FWC host these kinds of events this winter. If you missed these events, you can follow them to the next site hosted by the Rainbow Arts Collective.
