Goodbye to 692 Forest Ave from Rebel Pet
Dear Neighbors,
I chose to open my business in Woodfords Corner intentionally - for the last three years, I have loved being a part of this incredible neighborhood and am grateful to have connected with so many in this community.
It’s with a heavy heart that I’m announcing the close of our current location on November 30th due to the end of our lease. We’ll be operating on a small scale until we find a new location. We wish the next tenants of 692 Forest Ave the best of luck.
With gratitude,
Denielle, Rebel Pet

Welcome New Active Transportation Committee Member Lily!
Lily grew up in the greater Portland area and moved to the Oakdale area during her senior year at Bowdoin College. Lily attended and learned a great deal from the Citizens Guide to Zoning course hosted by Friends of Woodfords Corner last January, and decided to get involved with the organization after she began working in the neighborhood as a barista at Coveside Coffee. As a transit enthusiast and an advocate of building cities around humans rather than cars. Lily will join the Active Transportation Committee and is very excited to volunteer with FWC!

Why Don't We Do It In the Road?
As we think about ways to make Woodfords Corner a more pleasing destination and a village hub, slowing and reducing traffic on Forest Avenue is always a priority. Thank you to the City of Portland for responding to our concerns! The City is currently in the midst of constructing improvement on two Forest Ave crossings - at Lincoln an Arlington Streets and at Coyle Street.
