Third Places & Gathering Spaces
|
|
Great neighborhoods are places where people can live, work, worship, shop, and play all within a short walk. A key feature of such neighborhoods is a mix of third places and gathering spaces. These are open, relaxed public spaces for gathering, playing, mingling, and tarrying—for getting to know each other. FWC is thrilled to highlight three examples of third spaces and gathering spaces in August:
- Wed 8/10 Maine Pops Summer Concert in Heseltine Park
- Sat 8/13 Instrument Demo and Petting Zoo at Coveside
- Sun 8/14 Old Fashioned Picnic and Band Concert at Woodfords Congregational Church
Come out to meet your neighbors this month at these fun events! And save the date of Sept 23 for CornerFEST a big neighborhood block party hosted by FWC and Woodfords Congregational Church.
