Did you know that Woodfords Corner has a park? It's the triangle with the fountain in front of the Trinity Episcopal Church on Forest Avenue. This park is owned by the City of Portland and is one of eleven small neighborhood parks that dot the city. Trinity Church members have been caring for it for years and so folks living in the area didn't know it's a public space. So Friends of Woodfords Corner is teaming up with Trinity church volunteers to do Phase 1 of a larger project to care for this little plot of green space. On Sept 30, we'll do weeding and cleaning up of the landscaping and start to diagram and plan what we hope to do in Phase 2. This is a community effort for beautifying Woodfords Corner and meeting your neighbors. Save the date watch for more details as we get closer.
