Thank you to our Planter Installment Volunteers!

You may have noticed that the Deering Avenue planters have been re-installed! Thanks to our band of intrepid volunteers, we once again have some greenery and blooms back in the heart of Woodfords Corner.

Our planters have been sustainably spreading joy to Corner residents and visitors since 2020. How, you ask? We were able to obtain used barrels from Allagash Brewing, soil from the City, and discounted plants from Broadway Gardens. We water our planters solely with collected rain water in additional Allagash barrels, placed on custom made stands, created by Cresswell Restoration (another Corner business).

We are so grateful to the businesses and individuals who make the planters possible each year – THANK YOU!

If you want to help keep our planters beautiful throughout the summer, we’re looking for additional volunteers to help out with watering! This is a once-every-three-week commitment to ensure these plants stay vibrant. Email info@woodfordscorner.org to express interest!
