Dear Friends,
2021 was a challenging year for many, as the second year of the COVID pandemic wore on everyone's spirits, health, and livelihoods. FWC strove to continue our work to bring our neighbors together, support area businesses, enhance community connectedness, and make strides in our organizational growth. Thanks to the generous support of area businesses and residents, FWC was able to raise more funds than ever—funds we're investing into placemaking, economic vitality, and safety initiatives in Woodfords Corner in 2022!
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered and donated to help FWC and Woodfords Corner thrive in 2021. Your generosity has enabled FWC to rent an office in the Odd Fellows Building, right in the heart of the Corner. We look forward to welcoming you to our “new home” soon. We couldn't have done it without you!
With gratitude,
— FWC Board of Directors
Our mission is to preserve the diversity and unique history of Woodfords Corner and foster a thriving, welcoming, and sustainable village hub. FWC’s work focuses on increasing community engagement, influencing the design and care of public spaces, and supporting hyper-local economic vitality.
We began in September of 2015 when a group of neighbors came together to create a new, community-centric vision for Woodfords Corner. We formally became a nonprofit organization in August 2017 and a proud Main Street Affiliate in January 2019. As a Main Street America Affiliate™, FWC is part of a national network of more than 1,200 neighborhoods and communities that share both a commitment to creating high-quality places and to building stronger communities through preservation-based economic development.
