This gas station was built in the English Cottage style in 1934 and housed the Jordan Automobile Service and Filling Station. ˆt is nearly identical to a building in Newburyport, MA. Edward C. Jordan, the original owner, was a prominent Portland Civil Engineer credited with designing a plan for 400 lots for the Diamond Island Association in 1882 and a design for the west end of Little Diamond Island in 1908.
